Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Business Leadership Institute (“BLI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the organization behind ELIS – the Early Learning Interactive System. By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or otherwise using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use ELIS. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a childcare center, preschool, or other organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to them.

Description of Service

ELIS is an online membership platform built for early learning business owners and leaders. Depending on your plan, ELIS gives you access to AI-powered guidance, step-by-step playbooks, policy and marketing templates, operational checklists, training material, and member-only updates.

ELIS is a software and information service. It is not a childcare licensing body, an accreditation program, a law firm, or an accounting firm, and nothing in the platform replaces advice from a qualified professional in your state. We may add, change, or retire individual features over time so that the platform keeps improving, and we will not reduce the core value of a plan you are actively paying for without telling you first.

Account Registration

To use most of ELIS you need an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information when you register and to keep it up to date. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.

Your login is personal to you. Keep your password confidential, do not share it with staff or colleagues who are not covered by your plan, and tell us right away at support@elis.bli.org if you believe someone else has used your account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your login.

Membership and Billing

The ELIS All-Access Membership is sold at $79 per month or $790 per year. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel, and the payment method you provide is charged on the same calendar day each cycle. All prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include any sales tax that may apply where you live.

There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard or by emailing us, and your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

If a payment fails, we will retry the charge and email you. If we still cannot collect payment, we may suspend your access until the balance is settled. We may change our prices, but we will give current members at least 30 days notice by email before a new price applies to their renewal.

Acceptable Use

ELIS is here to help you run a better early learning business. To keep it that way, you agree not to:

  • share, sell, or publish your login credentials or member-only material;
  • resell, sublicense, or repackage ELIS content as your own product or course;
  • copy, scrape, or bulk-download the platform using automated tools;
  • reverse engineer, probe, or attempt to bypass any security or access control;
  • upload anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful to children;
  • interfere with the platform, other members, or our staff.

We may investigate suspected misuse and, where necessary, suspend or close an account that puts other members or the service at risk.

Intellectual Property

All material on ELIS – including text, videos, templates, checklists, graphics, software, and the ELIS and BLI names and logos – is owned by Business Leadership Institute or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark law.

While your membership is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download templates and resources and to adapt them for use inside your own early learning business. That licence does not let you redistribute, resell, or share them with other operators, publish them online, or present them as your own work product for sale.

Third-Party Services

ELIS relies on trusted third parties for parts of the experience – for example payment processing, email delivery, hosting, analytics, and the AI models that power in-platform guidance. We also link to outside websites, tools, and resources that we think are useful.

Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them, we do not endorse everything they publish, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Please review their terms before you rely on them.

Disclaimers

ELIS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work hard to keep the platform accurate and online, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Content in ELIS – including AI-generated answers, policy templates, and marketing material – is general business information. It is not legal, tax, accounting, medical, employment, or licensing advice, and childcare rules differ from state to state. Always confirm requirements with your licensing authority and your own professional advisors before you act. We do not guarantee any specific enrollment, revenue, or business result from using ELIS.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Business Leadership Institute and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, enrollment, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of ELIS.

Our total liability for any claim relating to ELIS is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the membership in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may end your membership at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal and your access runs to the end of the current period. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, that is used fraudulently, or that we are required to close by law – normally after we have contacted you and given you a chance to put things right.

When an account closes, your licence to use ELIS material ends and you should stop using member-only downloads. Sections that by their nature should survive – intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law – continue to apply.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as ELIS grows or as the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects your rights or your membership, we will email active members before it takes effect.

Continuing to use ELIS after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel your membership before the change takes effect.
